Swedish Rice Porridge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
small stick cinnamon
2/3 c. rice
2 2/3 c. milk
approximately 1 Tbsp. sugar to taste
Preparation

Boil water, salt, butter and cinnamon.
Add rice of the round-grained type.
Boil for approximately 10 minutes under a tightly fitting lid over low heat.
Add milk.
Let the rice boil for another 30 to 40 minutes over very low heat until milk is absorbed.
Stir now and then so that the porridge does not burn. Add approximately 1 tablespoon sugar to taste.
Serve with milk, sugar and cinnamon.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
