Best Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 3/4 to 6 1/4 c. all purpose flour
    2 1/2 c. rolled oats (quick or old-fashioned), uncooked
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 pkg. (1/4 oz.) quick rising yeast
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups flour, oats, sugar, yeast and salt.
    In saucepan, heat water, milk and margarine until warm (120\u00b0to 130\u00b0).
    Add to flour mixture until well moistened; beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
    By hand, stir in enough remaining flour to make a firm dough.
    Lightly grease large bowl; put dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 5 to 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    Shape into a ball and place into greased bowl, turning once.
    Cover and let rise in warm place 30 minutes or until double in size.
    Grease two 8 x 4-inch or 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Punch dough down, cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
    Divide dough in half.
    Shape into 2 loaves and place in pans.
    Brush lightly with melted butter.
    Sprinkle with oats, if desired.
    Cover and let rise until nearly double in size.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until dark golden brown.
    Remove from pans and cool on wire rack.
    Makes 2 loaves.
