Animal Friendly Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. shortening, melted and cooled
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine oats, sugars, flour and salt.
Combine soda and hot water.
Stir into oats mixture.
Add shortening and vanilla to oats mixture.
Roll into walnut-size balls.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden.
