Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salt
    1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    3 medium onions, sliced thin
    cucumbers, sliced thin
Preparation
    Mix the first 6 ingredients together.
    Pour over pickles and onions.
    No need to heat anything.
    Cover and let stand for 5 days in refrigerator.
    Pickles may be stored in the refrigerator for up to a year.
    Makes 1 gallon.
