Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup and water. Cook to soft ball stage.
    Add butter and peanuts and cook until syrup is golden brown.
    Remove from fire.
    Add vanilla and baking soda.
    Stir quickly until it foams.
    Pour very quickly into buttered cookie sheets.
