Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chicken stock
    1/2 c. shredded carrots
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. garlic
    1/2 c. diced tomatoes
    1 tsp. fresh cilantro
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cooked, shredded chicken
    1/2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
    2 c. crispy fried tortilla chips, cut into strips
    1/2 c. diced avocado
Preparation
    In a stockpot, add carrots to chicken stock and bring to a boil.
    Add salt, garlic, tomatoes, cilantro and onions.
    Cook until vegetables are tender.
    Serve chicken in bowls, ladling broth about 3/4 full over chicken.
    Sprinkle tortilla chips and cheese with the avocados last.
