White Fruit Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. cake flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. (or more) water
3 egg whites, beaten very stiff
1/4 c. crushed pineapple
1/4 c. candied cherries, cut up
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add sifted dry ingredients and water alternately.
Add nuts, cherries and pineapple.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites last.
