Miniature Fruit Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates, cut fine
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. oleo
    1 egg
    1/2 c. candied cherries (red and green), cut fine
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. walnuts (fine)
    1 c. candied pineapple
Preparation
    Pour hot water over dates and soda; set aside to cool.
    Cream sugar and oleo.
    Add egg.
    Add flour and cinnamon alternately with date mixture.
    Add walnuts, pineapple and cherries.
