Blue Ridge Mountain Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. corn meal
1 c. milk
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
Preparation

In separate bowls, beat the egg whites and yolks.
To the egg yolks, add the sugar and beat well.
Add the corn meal, milk and flour.
Add the melted butter, beaten egg whites, baking powder and salt.
Pour into a greased iron skillet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 in oven until golden and done.
