Shrimp Pies(Garidopites) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 oz. cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 Tbsp. chopped scallions
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. small frozen shrimp, thawed and chopped
2 Tbsp. grated Kefalotiti or Parmesan cheese
1 stick butter, melted
6 sheets filo dough
Preparation

Whip cream cheese with an electric mixer.
Beat in egg yolk. With a spatula mix in the parsley, scallions, lemon juice, salt, shrimp and cheese.
Chill one hour.
Stack 2 filo sheets together. Cutting through both sheets, cut into strips 2 inches wide by 16 inches long.
Brush with melted butter.
Place a teaspoon of filling on one end of the strip.
Fold one corner of the strip to the opposite side, forming a triangle and enclosing the filling. Continue folding to end of the strip.

Brush with melted butter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Serve hot.
Makes 30 appetizers.
