Daddy'S Peanut Butter Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1-1/2 c. peanut butter

Preparation

Stir together sugar and milk.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly throughout cooking time.
Cook to soft ball stage, checking in water, for approximately 15-17 minutes.
Reduce heat after a few minutes but maintain a good boil.
When candy is done, remove from heat and add vanilla, salt and peanut butter.
Mix well and pour into buttered 15 x 10 inch pan.
Let cool and cut into pieces.
If thicker pieces are desired, use smaller pan.
