Chocolate Shortbread Logs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/2 c. walnuts, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large bowl, combine flour, butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Using 1 teaspoon dough for each cookie, shape with hands into 2-inch logs. Place 1/2-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 13 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly.
