Neapolitan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14.5 oz.) angel food cake mix
    1/2 gal. Neapolitan ice cream, softened
    1 (2.6 oz.) pkg. whipped topping mix
    whole strawberries for garnish
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
    Split cake horizontally into 4 equal layers and place bottom cake layer on a serving plate.
    Set aside.
    Slice ice cream into thirds according to flavors.
    Spread top of bottom cake layer with chocolate ice cream; top with a layer of cake; spread with vanilla ice cream; layer of cake; spread with strawberry ice cream and finish with the last layer of cake.
    Cover and freeze 1 hour.
    Prepare both envelopes of whipped topping, spread over frozen cake top and sides.
    Return to freezer until firm.
    Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving.
