Basic Muffins("A Favorite From The '76 Cookbook.") - cooking recipe

1/4 c. Crisco
1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
5 (scant) tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
-
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Set aside.
Separate eggs.
Set whites aside.
Beat egg yolks well.
Add milk to egg yolks and beat.
Add this to flour mixture and beat until perfectly smooth.
Add melted butter to mixture and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour on heated waffle iron.
