Red Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring *
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs.
    Add coloring and cocoa.
    Add buttermilk alternately with flour and salt.
    Add vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in vinegar and fold in.
    Beat approximately 2 minutes by hand.
    Put in greased and floured cake pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
