Mandarin Orange Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sliced or slivered almonds
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. fresh parsley
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 head romaine lettuce
    1/2 head red leaf lettuce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    1 large can mandarin oranges
Preparation
    Cook almonds and sugar (3 tablespoons) over low heat.
    Stir while cooking until caramelized.
    Spread on aluminum foil sprayed with Pam.
    Allow to cool, then break into small pieces.
    Mix salt, pepper, oil, parsley, sugar and vinegar in bowl or salad dressing container (you may want to double the amount of dressing if you like a lot).
    Chill until ready.
