Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1/3 c. buttermilk
    1 1/4 c. mashed banana (3)
Preparation
    Sift together the first 4 ingredients.
    Add the shortening, buttermilk and mashed banana.
    Beat 2 more minutes.
    Fold in the chopped nuts.
    Pour batter into prepared pans (2 round 9-inch layers).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Fill layer and frost with your favorite frosting.
