West Homestead Roast Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    40 to 60 lb. beef (top sirloin or rump roast)
    onions
    pepper
Preparation
    Cut beef in 4 to 6 pieces.
    Remove most of the fat from the beef.
    Wash well in cold water.
    Pepper lightly.
    Place roasts in large roasting pans.
    Add 1/2 onion to each.
    Fill pan half full with water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 5 hours, covered.
