Chocolate Town Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour milk
    1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans. Cream sugar and shortening in mixing bowl.
    Add eggs one at a time; add vanilla.
    Sift flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Make heavy paste of cocoa and boiling water; add and blend well.
    Bake about 35 minutes until done (milk may be soured by adding 1 teaspoon vinegar to milk).
