Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    4 c. unsifted flour
    3/4 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. brown sugar
Preparation
    Mix and set aside molasses, boiling water and soda.
    Mix until crumbly the flour, oil, salt and sugar.
    Save 1 cup of crumbs for top of cake.
    Add the liquid to the remaining crumbs and
    pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread reserved crumbs evenly over top of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
