Pears Noires - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 cinnamon sticks
    4 whole cloves
    6 firm pears with stems (Bosc)
    2 oz. dark sweet chocolate
    4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
    4 Tbsp. butter
    mint sprigs
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water in a saucepan large enough to hold pears upright.
    Cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Add lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves.
    Cover tightly and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
