Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. walnuts

Preparation

Boil in a large saucepan the margarine, sugar, raisins, water, cinnamon and allspice.
Let cool to room temperature.
Stir in sifted flour and baking soda until batter is smooth.
Add nuts. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan for 45 to 50 minutes, until done.
Frost as desired.
