Caramel Popcorn Christmas Tree - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    4 qt. popped corn
    1/2 tsp. salt
    green and red gumdrops, cut in half (optional)
Preparation
    Melt caramels, with water, in saucepan over low heat.
    Toss popcorn with salt in large shallow roasting pan.
    Pour caramel mixture over popped corn; toss until well coated.
    With hands slightly wet with cold water, form into 36 balls.
    Use 11 balls as circular base; stack remaining balls to form Christmas tree. Decorate with gumdrops, if desired.
