Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. whole milk
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. boiling water
2 c. flour

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and cocoa.
Add beaten whole eggs. Dissolve soda in milk and add to mixture.
Add flour last. Gradually add boiling water and flavoring very last.
Bake in moderate oven until done.
This batter will be thin.
