Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 qt. water
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Peel potatoes, wash and cut into large pieces and add salt and water.
    Boil until barely tender, drain.
    Fry in hot fat until brown.
    Place in baking pan.
    Make a syrup with sugar.
    Add water. Boil until it spins.
    Pour over potatoes in pan and bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
