Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. molasses
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2/3 c. sour milk
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add molasses and blend.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
