Angel Food Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. + 3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    3 egg whites
    3/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    whipped cream
    10-inch baked pie shell
Preparation
    Better made day ahead of serving.
    Mix together cornstarch and 3/4 cup sugar.
    Pour on boiling water, little at a time, or it lumps.
    Cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly.
