Beef Cubes Gourmet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef cubes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    1 (17 oz) can peas, drained
    melted shortening
    dash of pepper
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom steak sauce
    1/4 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Brown meat in a small amount of melted shortening in large, heavy frying pan; add seasoning and water.
    Cover and simmer until tender, 40 minutes.
    Add more water if needed.
    Stir in steak sauce and peas; heat thoroughly and remove from heat.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Serve over buttered noodles or rice.
