Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 medium potatoes
    1 medium onion
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and slice thin.
    Place in 1 quart of salted water along with onion, sliced.
    Boil until tender.
    Reduce to simmer.
    Remove 2 cups of water and add milk to potatoes and onion.
    Add butter, salt and pepper.
    Heat until butter is melted and serve.
    (This will be thick.)
