Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) box wheat bran flakes
    5 c. all-purpose flour
    3 c. sugar
    5 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 c. melted shortening
    4 tsp. vanilla
    nuts and raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
    Add eggs, buttermilk, shortening and vanilla to dry ingredients.
    Stir just enough to mix up.
    Cover; store in refrigerator until ready to bake.
    Will keep up to 5 to 6 weeks.
    Grease muffin tins to bake. Bake for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Yields 5 1/2 dozen.
