Speedy Batter Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. scalded milk, cooled
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 large egg
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Pour lukewarm water into mixing bowl.
    Dissolve yeast in water. Stir well.
    Add milk, shortening, egg and dry ingredients.
    Mix on low speed of mixer until well blended.
    Beat 2 minutes at moderate speed.
    Cover with wax paper.
    Set in warm place and let rise until dough is bulk.
    Beat 20 to 30 stokes by hand.
    Drop by spoonfuls into greased muffin pans.
    Cover and let rise until batter reaches top of pan.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
