Pear Preserves Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. pear preserves
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, sifted flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and buttermilk.
Mix.
Add nuts, preserves and vanilla.
Mix well, but do not beat.
Bake in greased and floured pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
