Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. sour cream
    3 eggs
    1 c. jam
    spices to taste
    nutmeg and cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Stir in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream.
    Add jam.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
