Favorite Carrot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. carrots, sliced
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook carrots until tender-crisp.
    Bring liquids and sugar to a boil. Mix in all other ingredients.
    Marinate overnight before serving.
    Drain.
    Keeps well in refrigerator.
