Sausage-Noodle Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 (14 oz.) can Mexican tomatoes or stewed tomatoes
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
    8 oz. sour cream
    12 oz. egg noodles, cooked and drained
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Brown sausage in a large skillet and drain.
    Remove sausage to drain on paper towel lined plate.
    Pour all but a small amount of grease from skillet and saute onion and green pepper.
    Add tomatoes, water, meat and spices.
    Simmer sauce for 15 to 20 minutes while cooking egg noodles.
    Drain noodles; return to pot and stir in sour cream.
    Pour half of sauce in bottom of a 13 x 9-inch dish.
    Add noodles and rest of sauce.
    Top with cheese and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
