Apple Walnut Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. sifted wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
Preparation

Place apples in lightly greased 9-inch round cake pan. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/4 cup walnuts; sprinkle over apples.
Sift together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and salt.
Combine egg, milk and butter.
Add to dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Pour over apple mixture.
Top with nuts. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
