Sweet Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium pickles
    4 medium onions
    4 green peppers
    1 red pepper
    1 handful coarse salt
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    4 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. black pepper
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind pickles, onions, green peppers and red pepper up.
    Add coarse salt.
    Let stand 3 hours.
    Drain off all liquid.
    Add mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric, black pepper, sugar and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook 1/2 hour.
    Put into jars and seal.
    Makes 8 pints.
