Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder 3 times and set aside. Cream the butter and Crisco thoroughly. Add sugar.
    Cream well. Put vanilla and lemon flavoring in the milk. Add 1/2 milk to mixture, then add a little flour and one egg.
    Repeat until all flour and eggs are used, beating well. Add remaining milk, still beating until smooth.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours for tube pan. (Less time needed for 2 loaf pans.)
