Brunswick Stew * - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 chicken
1 qt. butter beans
1 qt. corn
1 qt. tomatoes
1 pt. diced potatoes
3 medium onions, diced
1/4 lb. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. ground beef (if desired)
1/2 c. sugar
salt and pepper to taste (red and black pepper)
Preparation

Have chicken well done and boned.
Beans, corn and tomatoes can be fresh or canned.
Mix all ingredients together, including the chicken gravy and cook slowly until well done.
The sugar should be added just before coming off the stove, as it may make the stew stick to bottom of pan.
Should make about 6 quarts.
