Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. unsweetened chocolate sq.
    1/4 lb. butter (not margarine)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, at room temperature
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. cake flour
    1 c. cold water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Butter and flour 2 (8-inch) cake pans. Melt chocolate squares in double boiler or small bowl in microwave. Set aside to cool.
    Cream butter until creamy and light.
    Slowly beat in sugar for about 7 minutes until fluffy.
    Add eggs slowly with vanilla; mix well.
    Add chocolate.
    Mix well.
    In separate bowl sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Mix dry ingredients with creamed mixture 1/3 at a time, mixing well.
