"To Die For" Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. heavy cream
    3 tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. chopped nuts, optional
Preparation
    Place the sugar, cocoa, cream, and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Continue cooking until it reaches 234\u00b0 on candy thermometer or a drop forms a soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and stir in butter, until well mixed. Add vanilla and nuts, if desired, while stirring. Pour the fudge onto buttered 9 x 9 inch pan. When cooled and hardened, cut into squares.
