Cranberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped cranberries
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    2 large eggs
    3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Put the chopped cranberries, walnuts and 1/2 cup of sugar in a buttered 10-inch pie plate or spring-form pan.
    Mix the eggs, melted and cooled butter, 1 cup of sugar, flour, salt and almond extract.
    Stir the batter until it is smooth and pour it over cranberry walnut mixture.
    Bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
