Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    18 oz. crushed pineapple
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. Cool Whip
    1 c. finely chopped red apple
    1 c. finely chopped celery
    1/2 to 1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix sugar and pineapple on stove; boil 3 minutes.
    Add jello. Stir thoroughly after removing from stove.
    Let cool.
    Add nuts, apples and celery.
    Fold in Cool Whip.
    Place in refrigerator, covered, overnight or until well chilled.
