Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup vegetable shortening
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    3/4 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 cups 3-Minute Brand Quick Oats
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Grease cookie sheet. Beat shortening and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
    Combine oats, flour, baking soda. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Add water, mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Should make about 2 1/2 doz. cookies.
