Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) chicken broth
    3 celery ribs, chopped
    1 medium head cabbage, coarsely chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. cubed, fully cooked ham
    chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    In a large soup kettle, combine and saute the celery and onion in the olive oil; add flour and brown a little.
    Add the chicken stock and water.
    Cook 1 minute or until smooth; add cabbage and carrots and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Add milk, ham and salt to taste.
    Heat thoroughly.
