Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Mix butter and sugar thoroughly.
Stir in flour.
Mix thoroughly with hands.
Chill dough.
Roll out 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into fancy shapes.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake (the tops do not brown during baking, nor does the shape of the cookies change) at 300\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes about 2 dozen 1 x 1 1/2-inch cookies.
