Swiss Chard With Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. young Swiss chard
    1 bunch (about 6) green onions, sliced thin or 2 medium size ordinary onions, diced
    2 to 4 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. bacon, diced
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Wash and slice crosswise into 1-inch lengths the young stalks of Swiss chard using stem and leaf.
    Saute thinly sliced green onions in oil until golden in color.
    If using bacon, add it to the onions and saute until it is lightly browned.
    Add chard and saute briefly, just until it is tender but has not lost its green color.
    Salt to taste.
    Serve immediately.
