Roman Sponge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cherry jello
    1 pt. boiling water
    5 drops vanilla
    5 drops almond flavoring
    1 c. heavy cream
    6 macaroons, crushed
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Cool until slightly thickened.
    Beat to consistency of whipped cream.
    Add flavoring to whipped cream and fold into jello.
    Add macaroons, nuts and salt.
    Chill until firm.
