Chocolate Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, cut up
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except vanilla.
Mix thoroughly.
Stir over low heat until chocolate and shortening are melted.
Bring rapidly to a boil until mixture reaches 220\u00b0 or for exactly 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and beat gently until mixture is lukewarm.
Add vanilla.
Continue beating until icing loses its gloss, and is of a spreading consistency.
