Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large Spanish onions
    vegetable oil
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Prepare onions under water to prevent tearing.
    Slice separately into rings.
    Mix remaining ingredients (except oil). Beat until batter is smooth.
    Heat oil.
    Dip onion in batter.
    Fry in oil.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Makes 4 servings.
